We are leaving this year, so this is our last ever Newsround! Let’s go!
But we will be back in September so we’ll see you then!
Bye!
Jamie
We have had another busy year here at QEII and we thought we’d share some highlights with you all.
QEII Glows was a blast this year! We were really pleased to see such a great turnout despite the rain, and everyone liked the new extended illuminations route.
Lots of us had fun dressing up for Number Day in February.
We had lots of great activities for Computing Week, including some fun Hexbugs Workshops that Jason and I enjoyed helping to present.
The College classes had their Prom this year at the new College building. Our theme was A Night at the Movies.
As a school, we took part in the Horsham Children’s Parade again this year. The overall theme was “Childhood” and our part was based on the circus. Lots of students and their families took part in the parade through Horsham town centre in July.
Jason
Students from the Seniors Photography Groups enjoyed Harry Potter Day in October.
In December Globetrotters had their College Christmas Fayre in the Studio. There were lots of great crafts and cakes on offer and we also had some lovely carol singing.
Students explored different experiments for Science Week.
Lots of us dressed up as their favourite Book Character for World Book Day and we also had lots of reading and writing activities as part of our Book Week in March.
In March everyone enjoyed dressing up for Red Nose Day and helping to raise money for Comic Relief.
The College classes did their interactive Shakespeare performance in July. It was the first time they had staged it as a walk-through event and we were really pleased that our audiences anjoyed it. Thank you to everyone who came.
Millie
Everyone dressed up and some donated to the charity Children in Need in November. It was also lovely to have another visit from Pudsey Bear!
We had lots of Christmas fun, including Christmas Jumper Day, our Christmas Dinners and our Christmas Parties.
Everyone worked really hard with their Art work for the Art Exhibition. It was great to have so many visitors to our new College building for this event.
Seniors Classes took part in Dance Live at the Portsmouth Guildhall in February. We were really pleased to win the People’s Choice and LED Screen awards for our dance.
Selected students – including all four of us – took part in Taskmaster Club. We had lots of fun working in our teams to complete the crazy tasks!
Towards the end of this year, we enjoyed some great performances from M&M Theatre and Circo Rum Ba Ba.
Niki
Stage Right did a great job performing Wicked as their show in November.
Early Years and Key Stages 1 & 2 gave a special Christmas Nativity performance which we all loved.
We have had several great Sensory Workshops this year.
KS3 Classes had a great time performing at The Hawth for Dance Time in March.
Key Stage 4 Classes went to Hindleap Warren on their Activity Week and did a range of activities.
And finally, our Sports Day was a very busy, sunny morning and everyone enjoyed all the different activities.
