Welcome to QEII Newsround, my name is Jamie

And I’m Amber

Have you been resourceful this week, like our Yoimoji Neon the resourceful wolf?

Here are this week’s signs of the week.

Mountaineers have enjoyed the start of their new topic ‘Land Ahoy!’ with lots of different creative activities. In Science, they have been looking at different objects to see which float and sink. They have created their own short stories based on famous paintings of boats. Everyone enjoyed folding paper into boats and testing them out on water. They have been also learning about Hindu festivals and enjoyed dressing in up in different celebration costumes and clothing.

Astronauts class also been enjoying the ‘Land Ahoy’ topic. They have been investigating different sea creatures through the story ‘Tiddler’ by Julia Donaldson, making paper and Lego boats, learning about floating and sinking and creating their own ship paintings. They have also enjoyed exploring sensory tuff trays such as ‘Can you free the animals’ and ‘which feely bag do you like the most?’  They have also been learning about all things money in maths and have started our Forest School sessions with Sophia.

Taskmaster Club has now moved onto the spring term tasks – the first of which was a very loud musical session featuring some brilliant performances.

See you next time, bye!
