Harry Potter Book Night 2019

On Thursday 7th February, students from Pines and Limes photography group had a special Harry Potter themed session as part of Bloomsbury Books' Harry Potter Book Night.
The classroom was transformed into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and there were different magically themed activities, following on from a reading from the first Harry Potter book.
Students had the chance to put on wizard's robes and choose a magic wand, before using a green screen backdrop to superimpose themselves into their choice of wizarding location. There was a chance to handle, photography and pose with some props from the Harry Potter films, including Harry and Voldemort's wands and Newt Scamanders book "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." The third activity was a taste survey for "butterbeer." Students were invited to photograph and then taste the drink, and to vote as to whether it was "yum" or "yuck." It was a resounding win for "yum."

The work all counts towards the students' ASDAN "Towards Independence" photography certificate.
