The Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee School caters for up to fifty-six pupils, with ages ranging from two to nineteen years. All the pupils have severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties. Some pupils also experience more complex needs, such as severe epilepsy or autism.

The school is organised into seven class groups, each with a teacher and two or more special support assistants. The peripatetic teaching service for sensory impairment works closely with teaching staff.
